I went with the OEM Monkey Bars... You can't go wrong with Yaffe or La Chopper Prime Apes.

Be aware that 07 and earlier need a $63 replacement top riser clamp.

I'm still thinking the khrome Werks +2 or 2+2 Sweepers. I would like to sit on a bike that has them before I pull the trigger though.

I just put a pair of them on my 2012 and as you said I didn't need any extensions just some re-routing and the only drawback I see is the fact that your stock mirrors are useless afterwards. I ended up getting these mirrors to correct that problem and after getting them I realized I would of liked them even if I didn't need them---> http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=290842172974

I like the look of the peaks in the monkey bars so that's what im looking for. pics would be great if anyone has some of other comparable bars. Will I need to extend my tbw wires and cables and such for 10'' bars?
What bike do you have? I bought a LA Chopper's Twin Peak 10" for my EG for $188, as it was supposedly using all stock cables. Sold the bike and got a SG before installing it, so decided to use it on the SG. Called cruisercustomizing and confirmed that it could be used with stock cables. When I tried to install it, everything cleared but brake line. Since I would have to pay for return shipping, I just ordered a +4 brake line for $95 on ebay. I have not received the cable yet but it would work.

On SG, most 10" mini ape would work with +4 brake line and everything else should clear with stock lines. I found this on ebay for $75. This could be a good cost-effective candiate on SG if you are ok with 1" diameter. Of course, it may require longer brake line. Still, everthing for less than $170.

For EG and SG, more likely product specific.
