Ok so last night I helped a friends wife get her husband true dual exhaust on his bike. We installed vance and hines dresser duals with black out rounds. Sounded very good.
Ok so here it is. I have a Dragos 2-1 on order in chrome but would consider their true duals maybe.
If you could pick one what would you choose and why?
True Duals have "the sound".
Frank claims his True duals will make as much power as 2-1-2's with his mufflers.
I'd like to see a dyno or his True Duals.
I run the Dragula , it will make better power and sounds good , but with that said Doc Weaver at Doc's Performance Tuning told me Frank's True Duals turn as close to 2-1 power as any True Dual's he's seen
I have been thinking of the same thing. I have the Dragos Duals and the sound with Jackpots is real loud. Of course the Reaper 543 Cams helped push the sound up. I would like the Dragulas to get rid of the heat on the left side and that left side header is constantly getting hit by me and my passenger.
I went from V&H 2-1-2 with monster rounds, to MGS TD's, and now - I am running the V&H 2-1 Pro pipe.
I would have to say the V&H 2-1 makes stronger torque thus far compared with the other pipes I have had on my king. I was short on $ to do a D&D boss cat.
Old thread....I had the Dragos true duals on a 2013 SG no complaints at all sounded good performed good as well , added cams sounded even better performance no complaints.
Now I have the Dragula 2 on a 2014 RK and if I had to choose between the two the Dragula would win. To me it sounds better and seems to just make ye bike run smoother.
Side by side though you can't go wrong with either it would really be up to you on the look , sound and performance you are after. I just happen to like the Dragula 2-1 better.
I also had been trying to decide between the two types of systems; although, I was looking at dragos h-pipe vs. dragula. While I'm sure either choice is a good one, I ended up going with the dragula 2 for performance reasons more than anything else. While it might not have the same lope (well, as much of a lope that a EFI engine can have) as a dual system at idle, I think that the dragula has a more of a "racing" sound than the duals, the dragula just has a sound that speaks "performance". And if I don't like the look of a single muff, I'll just add a ghost pipe.
And honestly, my bike shouldn't be sitting ong enough for me to care what it sounds like at idle!
I may change my mind in the future, but for now, it's the dragula 2 for me
