Been there a few times. I highly recommend it. One of the best motorcycle collections you will ever see at any museum and it's all from the private collection of a father and son. I hope everyone who reads this gets a chance to see it and helps to keep this treasure open to the public.
It's also a great ride getting there and the revitalized waterfront area has many biker-friendly places to eat. Don't miss it.
The museum is well worth the trip. You could spend six hours easy looking at everything there. It is owned by Ted Doering and his dad. They own V-Twin manufacturing Co. They have a barn in Vail's Gate N.Y. where they use to sell product out of years ago. They been collecting for years. Place was jammed packed with antique treasures. They have every year of Indian since 1901 up to the present in one room. Bike most folks have never seen or heard of.. The collection is well worth in the hundreds of millions and it is really something to see..
Awesome bike site. I found these in the pics of some of the displays, how bout this for safety? If a cager cant see these bikes something is definitely wrong with em,lol..
Wow, talk about timing is everything....a friend and I were talking about what road trips we could take this season, and he mentioned this museum....this is great!
Hopefully see you guys after the weather warms....
