IMO the RoadGlide is the best ride coming out of the MOCO. I've had both the custom and the ultra. I find it funny the people that don't like the RoadGlider I offer them to take mine for a spin they come back shocked how great the ride is on these things. Actually have a LONG time Ultra Classic owner who rode mine and said if he would have test drove the RGU he would have switched.

Didnt say I didnt like it, just a little ribbin. I rode one for a week while my limited was in the shop for limp mode issues, to me the RG felt more nimble and lighter at low speed and was a bit peppier, the only drawback I seen was that the stock windshield sucked, you couldnt even hear the radio at 60. Like the sayin goes, rubbin is racin. I still wouldn't trade my bike in for one, just not my cup of tea. Dont matter which one you pick, both are great touring bikes.
