Installed a set of monotubes on a friend's RG yesterday. Install was a piece of cake! We just followed the manual and instructions. It went so smoothly we were a little nervous expecting something to go wrong before we finished. Rode the bike after the install, new ride is fantastic! Much smoother over rough patches, feels like the handling has also improved. He already had 944's on the back. Feels like a new bike. Can't wait to get mine next month!
I had a set on my2010 SG that I just traded in and I just received a new set for my 2013 SG. I'm waiting for my fork tubes to come back from powder coating (Matte Black).
Thinking of going chrome on mine. Was planning to do all at once, don't want to wait that long. Believe I'll get the ride and power first. Worry about pretty later. LOL
Is this a progressive rate spring?
Did you find that the front end didn't compress as easily with the new cartridges ?
I'd like to stiffen the front on my ultra and not lose ride quality.

I put the monotubes on my 02 and the ride is MUCH improved. So much so that I don't like riding my work 12 because the front is too mushy. The only saving grace is the new frame is stiffer than my 02. Can't speak highly enough of the change the monotubes made in the ride.
I assume it's a progressive rate spring. The front doesn't dive on braking. The best comparison I can make is to a German sedan, you still know it's a bump in the road but the bike is not upset by it. It just sort of hammers the bump into submission. Like I said easy install, well worth the price.
