Wide Whites look great when they are clean. I had them on my softail but I have to say never again. Too much hassle keeping them clean.

I don't see the big deal about cleaning WWWs. If the WWWs are dirty, the rest of your bike is dirty too and should be cleaned. As has been mentioned a lift or center stand makes cleaning the sidewalls a breeze. I use a sprintz of Simple Green and then wipe with the Magic Eraser and rinse. No elbow greese required. I would go through the same effort to clean dirty black walls, so no additional effort for WWWs. I think having a black or dark colored bike is more of a pain to keep clean than WWWs.

Cleaning them isn't that big of a deal. The way I see it, it gives me another reason to have beers in the garage!!

So I was planning on riding up to my local motorcycle shop, Combs in lawrence ks, tomorrow for some WWW. Unfortunately yesterday was out riding and my damn tire went flat. So today I went ahead and bought a bike jack, which I wanted for cleaning purposes anyway, so I can just remove the rims and take them in that way.

They look really good when they are clean, so you will have to keep them that way. I just cleaned the narrow white strips on my Road Kings standard tires yesterday and that was not fun. Keeping the wide whites clean would be quite a challenge unless you put your bike up on a good jack.
