Anyone using this battery? Any downside to this much CCA?

if it tests good it might be a good battery. some batts dont hold the CCA when they are put under a huge load.

The more CCA the better, usually you pay for it though. The higher this value the more power available when cold outside.

MHO:
(cold is usually when a battery fails the most, having 5 vehicles in the stable for over 20 yrs., the first cold snap after summer takes out the older batteries.)

IDK about the battery in question but I agree with your statement. Here are the specs on my Odyssey. Direct Cycle Parts has it for $179 but don't know about shipping. Since running this battery I have never even bothered putting it on a tender. Have had it over 2 years and cranks like new. Additionally my Zumo is always connected and charging.
