Default Paint codes

I was wondering if there is a way to find out the paint codes or names for my bike. I am the 3rd owner and have no clue other than possibly champagne with dark root beer metal flake.

That's not a stock HD paint job, at least not one that I've ever seen.

If you go to a dealership & give them the vin they should be able to tell you what the original color/colors were - don't know if they will give you the code, but it is a place to start.

I checked out that site, cant really say any of them match. When I did the factory tour back in the 90's they said every bike had custom paint, don't know how true that is or was.

And you believed them?......... maybe that's why Harleys are so expensive

If you have an original FACTORY paint job the paint codes are on a tag under the gas tank. Mine were on the right side. Take the code to a PPG automotive paint supplier (OEM for Harley) and they can fix you up on all but a few specialty colors. Be aware some colors are a 2 or 3 step process to get the desired color.
