I've got everything installed and buttoned up except this one plug. I bought the unit used from a forum member and haven't been able to find any install instructions. I'm sure someone on here has the info I need. That's why I love this forum! Thank you in advance.
Took her out for about a five mile run. Popping on decel is gone. Nice smooth power rolling on. Runs well. Now I just need to keep track of mileage over the next couple of fill ups.
Being new to the auto tune what more should I do to get the most iut of it?
I'm feeling my way through this Auto Tune thing as well.
Rear cylinder seems to be wanting a bit more fuel in general (from the higher positive trim values) as compared to the front cylinder. Last week, it auto-tuned itself into some much, much higher fuel #s for the rear cyl at low throttle (2 & 5% throttle, < 3000 RPM). Not exactly sure why...O2 sensors seem to be working fine, AT module still goes steady red upon startup, no exhaust leaks found. Resulted in quite a bit of decel popping out the left/rear pipe. Lowered the fuel in the rear cyl map by copying/pasting the #s from the front cylinder map, so both cyls are identical <= 3000 RPM and <= 10% throttle.
So far, so good. Put 400 miles on today, no issues that I noticed. Decel pop was gone, mileage was good (~40 mpg today over a couple of fillups), great day of riding.
A lot of good information and threads on the AutoTune here. For sure one of the best investments you can have for your bike with the PCV or PV. Add mods and just ride. Check the trims and just keep riding or accept and it will create new trims. I check mine after longs rides - maybe every couple of months if city riding. IClick has a good bit of AFR related information I used to set my initial AFR's after using initial MAP for my mods. I have one for highway and one for local. Set your initial % for your trim range and ride. The AT will do the rest. The bike runs so fine - worth every penny! Easy to use once you get the basics. Enjoy the ride, you are going to like it!
