Default Humorous (or not) dealer phone call - wheel weights

I noticed one of my wheel weights seemed loose.

So I called my dealer to see if they could re-affix (and double check the balance because I'm not sure if one hasnt already fallen off).

"Sure thing, it will be a half hour labor".

Uh... it should be warranty, its a 2013.

"Well, did you get stuck in the rain?"

Uh... I think they're supposed to stay on in the rain.

"Right, I just don't know if wheel weights are covered under warranty"

Really? (to say nothing of the fact that I've bought 4 bikes in 5 years from them, plus a ton of parts and labor, you'd think they could just take care of it).

"I'll talk to the service manager, I'm not the expert on whats covered".

<sigh>

Unbelievable! I'd tell then to fix it under warranty or I would not be walking into their door again!

I would guess Wolverine. I recall when I needed new tires last summer they quoted me 780.00 plus tax to r/r plus they told me they needed up to 30 days because they were busy. My response (click).

I would've guessed they would have fixed it whether it was considered a warranty claim or not. I don't understand how some dealers are even still in business. Especially, the thousands of dollars we spend there.

My dealer Vehicle city harley would not cover them under warranty for balancing. I told them I think 2 fell off so they stuck 2 new ones on free.

Ummm, It is because we spend thousands of $$ there is why they are still in business.
If we stopped spending money there they wouldnt last to long...now would they?

Its about customer service.
