have the same problem with hands aching all the way up my arm. I havent found the prefect grip yet but I bought a throttle lock to use until I can find what works. Ive been usung this thing for 10 years now. I dont search for grips as much as I use to.

I am running the Avon grips and could not be more pleased! I have run PM Rethal's and the Kuryakin's and the Avons are better in my opinion. If you decide to go with the Avon's I will warn you that the throttle boss is not as easy to adjust (kind of a pain really) but worth it considering the quality!

Try a different size grip before doing surgery. Smaller grip worked for me.

Thanks for all the feedback! I'm gonna get better grips and the Throttle Locker that kirbyblue suggested.

I've got arthritis in my hands. The thumb on my left hand is killing me I'm going to get me thicker grips
