I installed the Diamond Black Grips on my 07 Street Bob. I started getting a cramp in my throttle hand after about 20 minutes. I never had a problem with the stock grips. I'm thinking that my problem may be due to the fact I have small hands and these grips are a little wider than the stock ones. I'm looking at a couple of new options. I want comfort and a blacked out look. Any opinions on comfortable grips that look cool?
Contoured Chrome and Rubber Custom Hand Grips (these come in a smaller 1.3 inch Diameter)
Not sure mate ? had the dealer put them on with the bars before picking bike up. they told me that they had to replace the sleeve, because the old grip stuffed the sleeve up trying to remove it..sorry cant be more help. Guess it was a stocker laying around the workshop.
I thought about changing mine but am going with the black out lookand sincethe OEM are black rubber and work fineI decided to keep them. My main concern is comfort and grip. Looking at some of the fancy chrome grips I don't know how much of a grip you would have with them.
Has anyone ever used SAC cruise control grips. They are supposed to be very comfortable plus some of them have cruise control on them. Here is the link. I'm going to order a set I think. Let me know what you guys/gals think.
I have a 2005 with the 1' bars...HD has a set of "narrow diameter" grips in their P & A book.
I don't know if they make them for the later models with the 1 1/4" bars?
