So..started the trip to Toledo, OH on Weds morning at 5am...first stop after about 75miles was at McDonald's for coffee and breakfast as it was only 57degrees when we hit the road. Next stop was for gas and to strech the legs...we then stop at Dubois Harley in Dubois, PA which was about 250 miles into the trip...let me add that we got a new Sundowner seat and it worked PERFECT for us..no butt burn after and hour or so..We love the seat...here's some pics!!! So we made it to our destination Wednesday around 4pm. We caught some rain in youngstown so i had to clean the horse up ASAP. Went to my uncle's body shop and got all the road film off...On the way back on Friday..we stopped in Youngstown at the Harley dealer and had a blast checking out all the stuff...a few more pics...it was a really great road trip and can't wait for the next one.....a tour pack in on the list..must have!!!! Total trip 1112 miles Holla

That first road trip is awesome, the rest of 'em........ well it just gets better and better

 

Now you need a side car so the house boss can go along.

 

So how many hours a day did you ride? Did you have lodging reserved along the way? How often did you stop?

 

It was a total of 8hrs in the saddle each way...stopped every half tank or so...no lodging required straight thru to family....

 

I'm contemplating Houston to Sturgis in 2014 and was wondering about logistics.

 

For me 400-500 miles a day is gud enough...but if you feel the need to go longer..more power...but in this touring game...im still a rookie!!! lol!!!!
