I ran +8" Magnums on all my cables and 12" electrical extensions with my 16" Carlini's and it worked out to be perfect.

Very nice your bike!! I thought in wild ones, but now i like the carlinis too. are gangster apes? how tall are you? I´m 5ft 81⁄2in and I´ve read that the carlinis are a little more tall that they say.

Yeah, Carlini's run a little taller. They were were 16"s but closer to 17". I'm 6'4" and my arms were straight out. I also have a lower slung seat too. I had to take them off due to shoulder surgeries and I had a hard time with my arms up like that.

I bet 14's would work nicely for you!

I just bought a spool of the gauge wire I needed and spliced it in between the molex and the device, staggering the splice so it didn't bunch. That way you are in control of length etc.

I don't know about everyone else, but I've got issues with my rotater cuffs and although it puts me back and more comfortable in my seat, if it wasn't for my cruise control my left shoulder would bother me more. Keeping in mind the reaching forward with the stock bars gave me horrible back pain issues as well. If I would have gone higher I think it would have been more painful for me. If you don't have problems with your shoulders, your golden. I put 12" apes on my wife's Yamaha and she absolutely loves the seating and reach so I recommend them. Not to mention I think they look BadAss. Go as thick a bar as possible if your running wire inside them or it wont all fit..trust me on that. Oh, I'm 5-7 1/2 with a 31inch inseam so I'm a short bastage and the 14"s puts me shoulder height.
