Question Mini Apes on a Road King question ??

I out Apes on my Softail and LOVE them. I want to put mini Apes on my Road King - its my long distance bike and I want the comfort of Apes but not too high - I'm probably going to go with Wild 1 Incs WO515 - 10in Mini Apes. My question is has anyone done this and what cables did you use or were you able to keep the stock cables. I emailed Wild 1 and they said that I should only need to lengthen the wiring a few inches but can keep the stock cables. Anyone have these on a Road King and whatw as your experience with cables ?? Wild 1 has always been good with their answers but I just want to hear it from someone who's done it so the bike isn't all apart and I'm stuck. Thanks for any input.

I put WO513's (8.5" Mini Apes) on my 08 RK and, just to safe, I bought +1" on the Clutch and +1" on the brake. I would think, since you are going 10", +2" on both should be fine. I have an 08 so no need for the throttle, so I can't help you there.

Hope this helps.

I had 10.5" FXRP bars installed at delivery, no need to use longer cables and enough wire was coiled behind the headlight to make the stretch. About four years ago I went Wild1s 16" - should have had them from DAY ONE!

Starting the install of 10" mini apes picked them up at Wild1 they told me 2" on the Clutch and 4" on the Uppers. Got them from Mandmcycles.com and the wiring extension from NAMZ for 12" extensions for the controls and TWB kit. PM if you need part numbers.
