Default FXSTC Handlebars Questions

I have an 08 FXSTC with the 10" apes 56079-93.

Has anyone put 12" apes on there bike and did you have to change the cables for the extra couple of inches?

What type of apes did you put on, make and part number?

Thanks

I have 16" apes on both theroad king and the softail. Went with an outfit on eBay so I don't have any part numbers. It was a package deal where they provide the cables, wires and etc. you'll probably need to re-do the wires if going from 10 to 12. You might be able to get away with the clutch cable but the brake line may have to be extended.

I thought the stockers were 13". Haven't actually measured.

Sometimes you can squeeze 2" out of the stock wiring, cables, lines, but depends on bars. You will probably be OK but may need to re-route the brake line to fit.
