Default Installing 'Get a Grip'

2013 SG. I tried a few searches. How do you remove the stock left grip? Thanks

It should be the same as the earlier bikes. Use a sharp knife and slice it off.

Stick a screwdriver into the end facing the tank. Lift it up a little and spray some WD-40 in and start twisting and pulling. You might have to move the screwdriver around a little to get the adhesive to break loose. Or you could cut it.

Stock grips removes by twisting and shouting loud!
I have never used the glue with any replacement grip, its just not necessary, unless your a lawyer working for the company selling grips.

Thanks guy's. The Get a Grip replacements don't glue on the left side. It's locked in the horn, turn signal mount. Appreciate the help. Don't have the instructions.

If you haven't replaced it yet, mine came off fairly easily with twisting.

YUP. There's not much glue on the stock grips. Just twist until the bond breaks and then twist and pull it off. No need to cut off. And you do NOT need to use to use glue on the Get A Grips.

You'll love them!

What TKDKurt said, one of the best feeling grips I've ever had on a bike!

My factory grips pretty much slid right off.

Like others have said, just twist and pull and it should come off. Wait till you have a few hundred miles on the grips and they start to wear in a bit....these thing are just like my Renthal grips on my dirt bikes. Even work great in the rain.
