Seriously though, my came off with not so much effort. The Get A Grips are in my opinion just great, they are tapered and fit your hands perfect and the actual rubber grip section are textured and made to grip much like my Pro Taper motocross grips on my dirt bike.
For stubborn grip removal, pry up the edge of the grip with a small screwdriver. Insert the tip of a blower attachment from shop compressor. Blow air under the grip and use your other hand to turn the grip as you pull it off. The advantage to this method is that you don't contaminate the bar with oil, WD40 or other lubricant.
Instead of using glue for reinstall of the left grip, use hair spray (provided the grip is rubber or plastic). It'll slide on easy and after it dries it'll provide a nice stable (non turning grip).
On the 2013 is there any tricks to the throttle side?
Need to know the same thing. Stock grips are WAY to thin and I don't want to pay the dealer if I can install myself. Need a larger diameter grip...Any recommendations?
Get-a-grips are awesome and if you can't quite pull the stocker's off - maybe you need to take a Penthouse into the reading room for a bit & then come out w/new "Kung-Fu grip!"

They are very easy to install.
Even easier than the older cable style.
If you have any mechanical aptitude at all, and can follow the provided instructions you won't have any trouble.
Think it took me about 30 minutes and I am slow.
