Default Brake light problems

I have eight 2010 ultra limited the other night on the way home I was told my break lights were on full they would not release when I got home I checked fuses and plugs and grounds and somehow got the brake lights to go out now neither the front brake lever Or the foot brake lever will activate lights I am at a loss the bike goes in today for a rear brake lever switch recall But this does not explain why the brakes won't go on with the Front lever.Any advise?

Unplug your rear brake light switch and see if they go out...If not the problem is with the hand brake switch.

Obvious while checking fuses and grounds you broke a connection. Check fuses and grounds. Now more then likely the light will be back on. Then pull one wire off hydraulic switch (probably) near back wheel under frame. If it goes off, it's that switch. If not, it's the little electric micro switch inside the clam shell that the hand lever opens.

That's good, if it's the front lever switch, that is one royal pain to replace unless you do enough to get good (or have 4 hands)
