Default 06 road glide major issues

I have a 06 roadglide, bought it new, Have had issues with it starting at 2400 miles, Harley was no help at all and that's 3 different dealers plus Wisconsin factory. The ECM went out they replaced that but not the down load I paid for. Finally had that put back. They totally drowned my radio it took 3 wks for it to dry out and work. Then going down the road running great it would just die, like you hit the kill switch. Power everywhere except plugs. Wait a while it would restart run great. Did this for about 6 months. Stopped doing it ran great for over 2 yrs. Of course bike is out of warranty by this time and nobody fixed anything. Now I have 44000 on it the radio quit working and its back to dying when ever it wants to. Tried to install aftermarket radio, Bike showed ( bus er) and engine light came on. The installer said the bike would not except the new radio. Then of course the bike would not start and had no spark to plugs. Put everything back to factory still would not start waited 1hr or so and bike started. It does this hot or cold. Any help greatly appreciated. The installer has done 100s of Harleys just did 62 at Sturgis, has never seen this before.

Wow, Sorry about all your problems. I know what your going thru, I had a new 1999 FLHTC that would die, sputter, and basically not run. Finally 3 years and after numerous trips to dealers it was fixed @ 30,000 miles. They told me a spade connector from the factory had not been crimped. Sold it to a guy who put over 50,000 trouble free miles. WTF! So I also have a 2006 Roadglide I bought new with 73,000 trouble free miles. However I,m on my 4th radio, all replaced under warranty. If ya got a lemon try to fix it and sell it when it's running. Wish I had some better advice, good luck!

Check and clean battery cable ends, all 4. All your issues can be cable, ground or battery related. Make sure the pigtail that plugs into the ECM is dry and tight. Inspect ECM main plug and make sure no spades are bent up, down or sideways. Crankshaft sensor could be suspect, also.

Thanks guys, I did talk to another guy that had a 06 ultra and the wire to the ecm fuse was corroded I looked at mine cause Ive checked that fuse a bunch of times. One side of the fuse was real tight the other side was loose. But when you pull that fuse it acts the same way elec everywhere but no spark to plugs, so either that was it or its somewhere in that line. At least I got it to duplicate the problem, Taking it to a friend and we will run test on everything on that line for voltage drops etc. Would be nice to finally fix this problem. Cant sell it have it just the way I want it otherwise. Bike runs real strong a joy to ride. I just have to be as stubborn as it is I guess. Hopefully making progress.

I had a problem with my 1986 FL. It turned out to be the kill switch on the handle bars. It drove a master mechanic and I nuts until it was finally found. He replaced the entire switch and wire assembly to eliminate any problem in the wires.

Maybe something to look at.
