Bike now starts without pressing start button

Mine did that and was the starter relay. Mine only did it when sitting outside in the sun above 90 degrees.
Changed the relay. No more problems

Had the same intermittent problem with my 09 Road King HD under warranty replaced all kinds of stuff, solenoid, starter motor took multiple viisits. Then oneday the starter motor wouldn't stop had to pull the wire to the starter motor. Rode the bike there and as soon as they plugged the wire back in the starter motor started again. I kept telling them I thought it was the switch and thats exactly what it was, the cheap switch.

Problem Fixed

Picked up the Run/Stop/Start switch kit (71684-06A) and installed it. Cut the old switch out and soldered the new switch in.
Problem solved, bike now starts only when you hit the "Start" button.
