My 08 RKC has V & H exhaust and I have developed a very annoying squeak at idle coming from the left side exhaust, when very little down ward pressure is appiled by hand or boot it stops I suspect (hopefully) it is only a rubber mount


Just wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing and if so what was your fix

Spray the rubber mount with silicone and make sure the clamp to the header on the muffler is tight.

You can spray it with silicone which will work for a while or go to your local dealer and get a rubber exhaust mount for $2 and replace. Did mine this spring when one side was chirping. Takes about 3 min to change out

 

Funny just ran into the same problem with a friend of mine. Spent hours trying to figure out what was squeeking. Finally narrowed it down to the rubber mounts. Changed the rubbers and voila. No more squeek. I think the rubbers cost $2.00 ea.
