Hopefully yall can help. I've got a Premium Tour Pak Rack that I'll be installing and don't have a template for it nor have I had any luck in finding one. Anyone have one lying around or know where I can pick one up? Rack is part #P/N 53665-87.
I see you're getting the info sent to you. Did mine last year, was a piece of cake. Remember, measure twice. I highly recommend doing the pilot holes to keep the drill bit on track.
I think I have one laying around but it looks like TexasRedneck has you covered. If something happens let me know and I'll see if I can find the one I have.
Mine came with the template but found it was to big for my tour trunk so I just did a lot of taping and measuring before I drilled.. Looks great and perfect fit. Need more help let me know.. Glad to assist if I can.
personally here is what I did
1 inch wide masking tape. or wider
set tour pack rack on the lid.
squared it up.
put one piece of tape under each leg.
made sure was still sitting square.
Used fine tip marker, drew ring around leg on the tape.
Drilled hole in center of ring, one size (1/16/")larger than bolt.
Removed tape. applied small dab clear silicone to lid and the
top side of the black trim rings.
bolted it on.
Silicone helps prevent water weeping.
Tape helps prevent paint chipping when drilling.
Use a variable speed drill and drill slowly.
boogyman...........see my tip from the thread mentioned above this works great because you can actually see how the rack is going to set on the tour pack and spacing between the front of the rack can be adjusted so to make sure it doesnt rub your back rest before you drill them holes. No going back after that happens.
