Farewell Ruby
love both of those rides, awesome looking. and yeah I know what you mean brother about that slow decent, only it was me. I compare the destruction it does like looking at the path of a tornado. met a awesome lady 14 years ago and got it together, life is GOOD now! how long you leaving her stock? lol
As much as your story sounds like the typical mid life crisis. You know, new bike, new seat cover, life is good. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. My scooter has lasted through 2 wives. I've been a biker and owned a motorcycle all my life. I've also dealt with a woman of addiction. My second wife did her dead level best to kill herself with prescription drugs and methamphetamine. I wondered when I would wake up one morning and find her dead in the kitchen floor. Like yours, she loved the addiction more than her family, so I moved on. Congrats on the new ride, not that there was a damned thing wrong with the old one. And enjoy that new seat cover to go with it....
Say it isn't so man!!! But can't say I blame you. Your SG has always been an inspiration for others. But change is good. Looks like many of us are going though the same life change. Haven't discussed it before but I'm getting a divorce as well. Which is the reason I had to sell my beloved RG Ultra. The pending divorce has taken quite of bit out of and away from me but I wasn't ready to give up riding. That is why I paid cash for the Rk Custom. It will hold me over until life settles out.
Congrats my friend on the new Aqua Glide and the new fender candy.

Congratulations on the new life and wheels. I always say, "nothing good comes out of alcohol" but in your case, it sounds like plenty good has come out of it.
Sobriety is a precious gift that I wear like a badge of honor - I can't imagine having to live with alcohol in my life and truly feel sorrow for those that still do. Hopefully your ex-wife will find sobriety some day and keep up the courage to stay sober one day at a time.

I heard a joke a long time ago that never made sense in my mind, until it happened to me.
Why is divorce so expensive?
Because it's worth it!
Divorce sucks, but when you finally meet the next person in your life, and they have the same outlook and ambitions as you, it makes everything that you went through seem miniscule.
Enjoy the new ride. Enjoy the new girl. That is what life is all about.
