The analog gauged pump is part # 54630-03A and lists for 49.95 but discounts can be had.

2005 Electra Glide Classic. I'm about 270lbs and I keep mine around 25psi too. Sometimes I'll go up to the max at 30 when my wife is on the back and we've got camping gear loaded.

I've got an 08' RKC and run about 20-22 psi all the time as I ride 2up often. I weigh 205. Owners manual calls for 25 psi max. Newer models 09' up will call for a lot more.

Finding this thread interesting because everyone is way higher than I've found best for me.

I'm about 200 lbs and on my '11 FLHRC I've found 10psi to be the sweet spot, even at 20 it felt really hard.

go to 40 or 45psi when 2-up.

I'm also a mountain biker and my mountain bike pump works for the King as well...so if anyone wants an HD pump that's been used once for $35 shipped let me know. I don't have the box anymore, but I keep it in the foam cutout that it came in.

1. Buy a manual! I think they are $10. The recommended pressures have changed with redesigns over the years and are specific to the model year. I am 225 and run 40 pounds in mine.

2. Get the no-loss shock pump from H-D. It allows you to screw the pump on without losing pressure, check the pressure with the built in gauge and inflate to the desired level. It's about $60 and worth it. Without a no-loss pump you will never get them properly inflated because of the loss when you unscrew the valve and when you use the pressure gauge.

3. DO NOT use an air compressor! These lines hold very little air and each little pump with the shock pump moves it up a couple pounds. You risk blowing the lines with compressed air.

At what ever pressure I want in my shocks at that time. Usually around 35 PSIG.

You I are a big guy. Put in 32 to 35 when riding solo. Bump it to 40 when carrying a passenger.
