Went to the dealer today to see if they got any more 2014’s in. The weekend before the ones they had were already sold. Owner’s wife says “wanna go for a ride?” Damn rights I do.

So I sign the papers and hop on a 2014 Street Glide Special, Charcoal Pearl. Love the color by the way.

Fairing vent works great. Brakes work really well. Shocks give a very nice ride. If it wasn’t for the seat being way too hard it would be very plush ride. New front end corners really nice. Takes the bumps with no signs of wobble. Not much dive on front with hard stops. Not overly impressed with the radio. My stock radio with Boom speakers is louder. Power is just OK, very smooth though. Doesn’t have the power like my 107. The exhaust was way too quiet. Could barely hear it on the highway. There was a horrible buzz inside the fairing at 3000 rpm. Maybe some wires or something vibrating. Burned a quarter tank of gas before I took it back. Oh ya, really liked the clutch.


Overall very nice and with a few mods will be a great bike. Not buying one, way too much into my 2012 Limited.

 

buy it and make a 107 .lol im waiting for the new road glide in 2015 I have a 2011 with the 103 ,only got 10340 miles .,but they are all very enjoyable miles
