Maybe not YET. I'm sure the subject is just a few thousand miles away though. I can imagine that porting these new waterheads may be a challenge. Serious upgrades may not be possible or cost effective. Lots of speculation, but as with all new designs, some poor soul will get to be the test bed for Harleys better idea...
Thanks, as several non mechanically inclined friend's have asked me about this as I have the mechanical/research background, and I had a thought to share on a forum applicable to it discussion desired.
Knew it was coming. I ask the other day. Saw the same thing when points and then carbs and cats and now twin cooled..may have missed a few others in the list..

LOL, it has been brought up about wanting the amenities of the new limited but not wanting to be a sissy boy on a water bike.

Thanks Brothers for the enlightened conversation, I will be back on line tonight to discuss this further, going riding now as the sun is shining. Keep up posting on your version of what a forum should be and every post that should be about, stop playing with your **** and go put some miles on your *** jewelry.

No matter the subject, technology never reverts to the previous. We are not looking to bring back carburetors or 8 track tapes. Why? Because even though the initial 'improved designs' that took their place pretty much sucked, the technology improved, and eventually the masses embraced the new technology. I keep saying that at some point technology must stop, or at least slow down. Unfortunately the yuppies in the beemers married to soccer mom's want to be able to ride their new 'mid life crisis glide' in short pants and sandals and be able to chat on the phone with their new 'trophy' mistress that only exists because he has a harley.

Funny you mention the head porting issues...... Harley offers a CNC head porting service now.... For bikes with less than 500 miles on it. At the cost of................ $699.99.
