Momentary weakness.....
I saw this bike at Republic HD in Sugarland Tx last weekend..... A 2010 CVO Ultra Classic.... Only has 5,400 miles, and already has my favorite exhaust - the fat cat.
Honestly, I want the bike!!! And for a few minutes - I debated trading my bike. Problem is, my payment would double. They would probably give me enough to pay mine off, maybe - and I'd be financing $27,000 on the CVO ultra.
Well the "Can't do it scenario" over took the "should I do it".... And I rode my Road King Home.
I already have a 2012 touring model. And I recently bought a chop tour pak for it. If I buy a detachable batwing, I in essance have an ultra classic. Some may argue no, with the gauges and stuff, intercom I'd never use, etc.... But close.
I've also dumped $10G in my bike - too much to walk away from.
I liked my bike more and more as I rode it home. Not too bad of a payment every month. Very versatile when I wanna pull the shield off for around town, etc...... BUT, If I was going into the dealership without Motorcycle, that's the one I'd leave with..... Even with it sitting next to all of the new 14s

I had the same thing happen to me when I got my pipes installed. They had a new Breakout and I want one in a bad way. They said they'd give me $14k for mine but my payments would go up, of course, just enough for me to know I couldn't/shouldn't do it. It was tough to walk away from but I know what my money limits are. I still want one. It's just not going to happen.
i've been eyeballing that same bike. For the money they want and the trade in value they offered for my 2010 EGUC, I'll wait a couple of years and drop in a 120R. But, "hey Clark, she sure is a beaut".
Here we go.....

..... I think what I have learned from visiting local dealers here lately and looking at the new 14s, and drooling over this CVO, is that there are always going to be some great-looking Harleys for sale. But I'm not Jay Leno, and I can't afford to have all of 'em!!!!
...... The other thing is, is the wife says I'm not allowed to have a Fairing until I'm 50! Ha ha ha

Putting on a chopped tourpak and faring does not an Ultra make. That CVO is greatly overpriced. Let someone else be a sucker.
