Handlebars problem
Back again for some help. When making a slow tight turn my left (or right) elbow hits my side preventing from turning the stock handlebars more.I thought that rotating the handlebars forward would help during those maneuvers but in normal riding that would be uncomfortable.Maybe a mini-ape would help but I'm afraid it would interfere with the fairing mounted mirrors.Any suggestion and pictures will be appreciated, the bike is a '06 Ultra. Thanks
Perhaps try making the turn with elbows out. Seriously, try keeping your inner elbow lifted while turning.
If that doesn't work for you. Maybe try leaning the bike more into the turn. The further you lean the bike the less the front end needs to be turned.
I am interest to hear how that works for you.

Hey Bent, thanks for the suggestion, but I'm already doing that with my elbows and I cannot lean the bike more because of the too low speed (I'm coming out of my garage and making a tight 90* turn),thats the reason why I thought maybe a mini ape would help, but I have no experience with them.
To answer your question yes the mini apes would help in this situation and would be more comfortable while riding too. Also you guessed right about your mirrors too. With mini apes or any other 10" bar your fairing mounted mirrors will become a useless dash ornament. They do offer plugs and covers for the holes if you chose to remove them and go with the bar mounted mirrors.
