Also, I had the "SlipStream" design pegs (came with bike for passenger) which I removed.

These pegs have a screw on the end of them that loosens and allows the peg to swivel.
This allows you to swivel and change angle of the peg along with the adjustments you get from the mount you choose. This was helpful, so I recommend looking for a peg that has that option. (not sure if they all do or not??)

Until a friend sent me a slightly damaged set of the HD adjustables, I used these on every bike i've owned that had a crashbar. They're as adjustable as you need higway pegs to be and the hook on the end keeps your foot from vibrating off or you can just use the end to hook your boot sole. If you don't have / want to spend upwards of 150 bucks, these are the way to go.

If anyone else is looking for black instead of chrome....

I was having a hell of a time finding some good black highway pegs at a decent price. Just rode 1600 miles a couple weeks ago and I really wished I could have stretched out my legs a little. Not as many options out there. My engine and saddlebag guards are black and I figured chrome might look a little funny.

I actually went with some pegs from Victory. Looked like the measurement was the same, so they should fit no problem. (Is it blasphemous toward Harley to install a Victory part on an Electra Glide?! ) Plus, they actually give you two foot positions.

At $130, this was also the cheapest option I found. I used to own a Victory Vegas and in my experience the Victory stuff isn't too bad quality-wise. I liked the bike.... but it certainly wasn't quite up-to-par with a Harley. It also wasn't a touring bike, so I suppose I'm comparing apples to oranges when comparing it to an Electra Glide.
