Default 10'' windsplitter

Is anyone using a HD 10'' windsplitter windshield, thinking about picking one up for winter to replace my 6'' and was wondering if the people that are using them like them or not?
Thanks,
Steve

I'm using a 10 inch windsplitter and just returned from a 2100 mile ride with my wife in the passenger seat. In short I like it a lot. I didn't like the stock 12 inch because I was looking through it. I'm looking over the top of the windsplitter. It routes the wind above mine and my wife's helmets. Buffeting is less when passing trucks, etc. For me, handling seems to be imporved at higher speeds. I can still hear the radio fine.

check out long ride shields. good selection, good product, good customer service. i have the 6 in ultra and 9 in ultra. i suggest getting light tint if you do night riding or riding in the rain. dark is way to hard, danm near impossible to see out of at night and medium is sorta hard as well. friend of mine swears by the flat top.

I tried it, works great but too high for the look i want on my Ultra. It's now on a buddy's CVO and he is very happy with it.

Thanks,

Check with your local HD Dealers they should have a demo shield you can try out for yourself

I tried both windsplitters the 4 and 10 inch and found the small one almost worthless but cool looking , the 10 inch much better controlling the air but not as cool looking I ended up buying ( for almost half the cost of the windsplitter) A Long Ride Shield 8 inch Ultra recurve and love it,nice looking and better against the wind than either the splitters , I'm 5 11 and ride a 13 Limited

I have one on my new SGS. I'm 6' 1" with a long torso and have found that if I sit up straight I am getting some wind in my face. The same shield was fine on my 12 Limited, but I had a 21" wheel on the front. Maybe that made a difference.

5/9 with hammock seat on 12 ultra. 10" windsplitter works great for me and just yesterday my riding buddy bought one for his cvo. demo one and see if it works for you!

Does the extended sides of the shield give your hands any wind protection with the apes?
