Do a search on it and you will find everything you need to know about it. Don't run it in your motor unless its designed for it and Harley's are not. You will ruin it and it will not be covered under any warrantee. Same goes for E15.

As stated, don't do it.

Your bike was not designed (or tuned) to run on E-85.

Along with other fuel system upgrades, you need a different tune to run it.

Those "Flex Fuel" vehicles that can use it are designed for it.
They are even marked with the words "Flex Fuel", and have a computer in place that can switch between two different fuel tables.

How many uninformed people will ruin a motor with this stuff? Cars or bikes, lawnmowers, etc. Would you send your typical 16 year old kid to the local store to get gas and be confident they would buy the correct stuff? Not just kids, but all kinds of people are going to screw up their motors with this stuff despite the warnings on the pumps. Corn fuel is the biggest boondoggle ever! (I'll stop now before I go "political"!)

The AMA is fighting this BS with a vengeance. I wish more riders would get involved and write letters to their representatives.
ere is just one of many articles on E15

Even if a Harley were a "flex fuel" vehicle, which it is not, the E85 will cut your gas miliage so low that the price difference will not make it worth the lower cost. There is a reason it is so much cheaper. It's not because it is alcohol instead of gas. It is comparably priced for the milage you can get out of it.

Around here, that is also true for E10. Pure regular goes for about $3.60, corn gas regular for about $3.50. In the few times we have used it, our fuel mileage drops by about 10%. The corn gas would have to have a 36 cent discount for for the miles per dollar to be equal. Corn gas costs more per mile even before the additional maintenance expense sneaks in.
