Fuel
Even if a Harley were a "flex fuel" vehicle, which it is not, the E85 will cut your gas miliage so low that the price difference will not make it worth the lower cost. There is a reason it is so much cheaper. It's not because it is alcohol instead of gas. It is comparably priced for the milage you can get out of it.
Around here, that is also true for E10. Pure regular goes for about $3.60, corn gas regular for about $3.50. In the few times we have used it, our fuel mileage drops by about 10%. The corn gas would have to have a 36 cent discount for for the miles per dollar to be equal. Corn gas costs more per mile even before the additional maintenance expense sneaks in.
I wish that where true around here e10 is around 3.50 a gallon but if you want pure unleaded you will pay about 4.30 a gallon.
