That "Barnets" on the banner ads advertise fianacing for nearly everybody. I bet if you could see some of those intrest rates you would feel good about whatever your paying!

i don't know about the interest rate difference, but my credit union is a lot easier and quicker to work with than HD financing.

Amen to that. A local person who KNOWS me is more valuable than most people know. The ability to pick up the phone and get a commitment of rates and terms right then is a good feeling, and makes a purchase like a car/truck/boat or Harley an easier negotiation as well.

heck, if we want to be financial genuises, we would have bought a cheaper bike...i got the .99 percent advertise bait deal and the only reason i traded my 1999 road king up to a 2013 the last weekend in June. i must maintain a high credit score where i work and they still tried to give me the runaround. I got up to leave and miraculously, my rate was .99% and they said they were doing me a favor. i called BS on that comment and then we got down to business. i was happy with the rate and the trade in offer on my old bike(7 grand) which they sold for 10,500 a few weeks later...everyone was happy!

Good point, but we are not talking about high interest rates and hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Yeah well they would not be my financial analyst. Anytime you can get a rate below 4% on a vehicle you are much better off to invest your 20k and pay the interest.,

I started this thread so let me give an update. Well, I checked with Suntrust bank today and they quoted me for 7.5% new or used. Sales guy from dealership called me and said he had worked it down to 3.99%.

I do not belong to a credit union but there are several in the area, I just need to call but 3.99% is pretty good I think.

Default Best Interest Rate HD Financing

Closed yesterday on Ultra Limited- 4.49%-60 months from HD financing- beat my two Military affiliated CU by 1%- My credit score 800+. I suppose each one of us has a need for financing at some point in life- mine is, sell my 08 Ultra and pay off the loan ASAP.

The 2014 Limited is a awesome machine-quite a generation leap for my riding experience-
