Had to go to the stealer today for new exhaust gaskets so I can install my kittyless pipe. Ended up gettin in a little less than 200 miles, WOOHOOO!! Couldn't of asked for a better day to go kill some damn love bugs! Here is the aftermath and a better pic of Big Red with the goodies installed. Stay safe out there everybody, oh yeah, love bugs suck!!
Sweet Jesus, that looks like mayhem. Glad your enjoying your time home, I'm down to 40something days left myself. Sucks missing out on the entire good weather riding season, reckon I'll have to make up for it in the winter months. Crack a few cold ones and get to cleaning her up.
pony, what the heck is a "love bug"? never heard of them. those an LED set of headlights on Big Red? how you like them? i have the the other type of LEDs and not particularly fond of them. great on the highway but not so good out in the back roads. hard to see the critters cause they are so focused....pluss, the light pattern is horizontal and you feel like a plane bakning when in a turn. glad you're back and having fun.
Nice splatter shots. My ride home from Sturgis in 2011 had me on Hwy 12 from Billings MT to Lewiston ID. On that day I had the most-spectacular bug collection...it was not just the volume but the colors: bright yellow, deep red, some green wings, brown legs, black fuzz and more. Unfortunately I don't have a photo to share.
