We call the "love bugs" "telephone bugs" and "f" and "k" bugs. Telephone bugs because they say hello and then hang up. We call the f and k bugs because where ever you see "f" u c "k".
You call that a splatter, that ain't nothing. Wait till you can't see the paint or through the windscreen and that's no exaggeration. Swarm is bad here in the mid morning hours, not so bad late afternoon. Wash it off daily and get a good wax on it.
If the ride was good, they should be all in the teeth too.
There are more of them waiting on you and red.
And they love LED's.
Go get'em!
Ride safe, great to have you back!
