I was given an old Delphi XM radio from some family and it has a lifetime subscription on it. I got a Ram mount cradle to hold it and use the cigarette adapter for power. Bad thing is, the vibration caused the adapter to fall out and bust against the engine.
I do not want to hard wire it onto the bike as I do not use it all the time. Any ideas on how I can keep from losing another adapter?
Run you a hot wire up from the battery using a battery tender type plug. Replace the radio power cord with an appropriate plug. You could run the power wire under the tank and clamp or wire tie the plug somewhere near the forks.
