Default Apes Install ?

I decided on the LA Chopper Twin Peak 10" apes in black.

Question, is a +6 clutch cable overkill?

Hopefully the brake line is long enough.

Also on the fence about the TBW sensor extension. Hate to pay $80+ for the SE extension but really don't want to cut and solder. May go with the Namz extension at half the price and just shrink wrap the connector. I know, may be a bitch to pull through...

Poly bushings, fairing hole plugs, mirrors, what I'm I missing?

On my 12 SG with 12.5" bars the +6 brakeline and clutch cables fit perfectly. I didn't need to extend any wires, just move the electrical plugs under the radio.

+6 on the clutch is standard length with 10" bars you can go with a +5 if you want its not gonna matter much. you can if you want to make it easy just order everything for the halrey batwing bars and you will be good to go. I did a +2 on my brake because im **** about stuff. I also went to braided lines.
you don't have to do anything to the tbw sensor . I would suggest if you have the money to let the stealer wire your bars. its a pain in the butt if you want to extend your tbw wires.barnett makes extention wire that just plug and play

I would rather do it myself, that way I know it's done right.

Your saying the wiring on the stock TBW sensor should be long enough for 10" bars.

On the brake line, it's black(other then the banjo fitting), so it will somewhat blend in, plus I don't have to deal with bleeding the brakes. I could always change it out later which being **** myself, is a possibility.

Clutch 4-6" is all you're going to need.

Poly Bushings is overkill. I've had apes on every bike I've owned and never needed them. Don't want the added vibration. Just my opinion. Others will disagree I'm sure.

Also have always used the stock TBW cable as well. No problems. I'm just careful pulling them through.

Actually for the 10" Twin Peaks you need absolutely nothing. Installed some about 3wks ago and will install another one this week. I would suggest since you don't wanna solder the TBW harness that you buy the SE version. The green plug WILL come apart or at the very least it will be disturbed enough to throw codes. All cables and wires are long enough. Wires will have to be rerouted under the radio but it will work.

So did you route all wires inside? I was doing this very same install a few days ago and got to here.... I was not doing the wires inside, but on the outside.

And realized I could not reattach my controls because there was not close to enough room in the groove for the wires to fit. It did not take long before I got over it and yanked them off and threw the stock bars back on. I'll approach this project again over the winter.

I had just spent some hours installing the new chrome lowers and monotubes so I was tired at that point.

I had to reroute the clutch cable in the fairing when I went with the HD Pull Back bars and the Twin Peaks are taller, right? I figure to get a clean install and a better cable, I'll use the +6 Magnum black pearl braided cable.

If you saying the TBW wiring is long enough, I'll heat shrink the connector so it cannot come apart.

From reading everything on here about those bars, I believe you have to groove out the openings where the wires exit to go into the controls. That may give you the room you need. Hopefully someone who has done just that will chime in here..........

For $14 delivered (e-bay), it's a no brainer since I'll have everything apart anyway. What's a little more vibration.......
