Default Bar advice...

Just bought ANOTHER Roadking...It's even the same color as my old one...Anyway...I want to put a set of 12" Apes on this one too. On my old bike, I put the Wild 1 502s on it. I liked the bars but wanted a little more pull back...What should I be looking at???

I (we) have an '03 RK which was supposed to be my wife's bike but she refuses to ride it (loves her Heritage).
This bike has less than 300 miles on it and I've already changed the bars once to the bars that cam on the "Sport" model in '03.
I'm thinking about taking the bike and using it as my ED ride and if I do I'm thinking of going to 14" to 16" apes.
All of us are shaped differently and due to my having a long torso I sit higher in the saddle than the average rider so that makes a difference in optimal handlebar height.

It looks like you are in an area with good riding weather most of the year. Try cruising some bike nights to see what others are using to get some ideas. A good parts or service guy at your dealer may have some suggestions as well after doing a bunch of different installations.

I'm 6',just installed Khromewerks fat 14" apes #300326) . They are almost perfect. I I may put them on a set of FLD risers to bring them up and closer an inch.

Any more advice? PLEASE remember, I am looking for 12" rise with more pullback than the WO502 bar. I am not interested in any other kind of bar. Thanks!
