Speaker Pods

This is my first Harley, so I have nothing to compare to. My question is I bought a biketronics audio package, speakers and and pods. The other day i purchased a Kuryakyn cup holder that mounts behind the speaker pod. but the bolt hole pattern is different. Does anybody know if there really is a difference in Harley pods and biketronics pods bolt patterm or maybe I just got a messed up pod.

Just guessing here, but I'd say there IS a differance.

Yes, Biketronics pods are different (larger) than harley ones.

According to the Biketronics website, the 7.1" pods for the tour pak are mounted using the stock mounting holes.

speaker pods

I just installed new pods from biketronics and they went into the stock mounting holes.. Did your pods come with mounting templates? If so check them against the pods maybe.
