metzeler triple 8's
i have been riding on me880 since forever, i would like to hear from some people that are using the new me888, what kind of mileage are you getting, and how do they handle wet/dry. i have a new 888 ready to go on but just don't need it yet

I threw one on my Road Glide prior to our 4200 mile trip to Milwaukee & back (for the 110th). We went through several rain storms without even the slightest slip. Mind you the bike was loaded with my wife & our luggage, but I am impressed. Maybe 1/16th of an inch of wear in the center, but they still look like new. I had an 880 on prior and I am hoping that the center wear lasts longer. We rode across South Dakota doing about 85 mph and it was 105*. With the load we had, I was very pleased with how they handled being tortured like that.

My 888's
Pretty good tires..first the cons..took quite a bit of weight to balance them, near 2 oz. ea..front and rear ..were a little rough at first..the pros...Smoothed out nicely after break in..several thou miles and no apparent wear, although I havent measured. Very predictable handling, no grab on groves, wet pavement good traction..very good on tar snakes..I'm happy with them..time will tell on the mileage..Scooter
