Sometimes I miss my classic and regret the direction I took with the bike......
I know what you mean. My SG had a bit too much. It was awesome, in fact... Salesman had it sold before I left with my RKC! I know it was awesome, but I'm a bit of a minimalist at heart. BTW, youve still got a great looking bike.
LOL, now this is funny. I looked at every reply and you can bet your a$$ that every sig pic has a Road King in it. Mine to, of course. Like the O/P, some of us just like the classic lines and the simplicity of the Road King.
I have been eyeing an '11 SG for sale. Seemed cheaper than making my RKC something it's not. Then I look at my bike and wonder if I can live without the way she looks.
I wish I had the $ and room for both, but then I find something to make her better, and see a thread like this and I am reminded she is just perfect (or getting there).
Beautiful RK! I've kept my Heritage for a lot of reasons, one of them being the "old school classic" look. I enjoy the ultra, but I look at it some days and think that if I had another RK with the leather bags and the matching "leather" tour pack on quick release again...I had an 02 that I just never bonded with...
I love the RKC also. I've loved mine for 11 years now. The only thing I NEVER liked were the WWWs and the spokes. In fact, I never, EVER cleaned them. Drove my hubby nutz there were so dirty. I finally treated myself to mags and blackwalls this year. Appearance-wise I will change the seat to a solo, and that's it.
