StreetRunner...How doe it read thru there from inside that saddle bag.... The directions say clear view from the car windshield?
I don't know how it does it but all I can say is that it works for me. I've even had one in my glove box of my car that worked.

Velcroed inside my saddlebag, in Colorado if the receiver doesn't pick it up they go by the license plate photo. Never had a problem.

Either in my jacket pocket or in a tankbag. Tried it on top of the radio (Road Glide) and it was very erratic--I think the radio somehow interferes.

I read somewhere that these transponders are directional. You should always have the side that is supposed to face the windshieldup

Right inside the fairing of my 2006 SG. Above the radio. Works every time.

in my windshield bag, I actually take it out and hold it up when I go through tolls. (**** I guess)...AND I've got a nice pic of my bike sent to me when I went through the wrong lane in NH (DOH!)

I can tell you where it doesn't work on a Road King Classic. I have mine to the left of the windshield bag. I have to come to a complete stop and push the handle bar all the way to the right. It also doesn't work while it is inside the windshield bag.
Maine has their system turned down realllly low. They don't want you going over 5mph through the toll both. So even in my car it barely works.
You can sail through and they will match your plate with the photo they took and they don't seem to mind. I tried that in NH and they sent me a $25 fine for all the trouble they had to go through.
Still, it beats stopping, taking off a glove and digging out change.

Windsheild bag, think bikes should ride for free, less damage to the roads from a bike and only two wheels, should at least get half off.
