Never used MMO (Marvel Mystery Oil) but I LOVE Kroil! Will never buy WD again.

Being an automotive flat rate tech, kroil has been a time (life) saver. For seized and/or rusted fasteners, this stuff is nothing short of amazing. It's expensive (19.95 for a small aerosol can) but worth every penny. If you have the need for a 'super oil' for things that wd-40 type jobs, this stuff is 10x what wd is.

Not afraid that Kroil will seep past the headgasket and cause future leaks or eat the rubber seals? Aero-Kroil is indeed some NASTY but effective stuff...

2ozs of marvel mystery oil in every tank of gas eliminates carbon build up. It's cheap and effective. I've seen it work to reduce or eliminate carbon build up on valves and pistons.

Honestly, I had discounted this stuff as snake oil. With the ability to look inside the combustion chamber using a bore scope, I can tell you that it absolutely works. I will be a regular user of this stuff from now on.

Carbon can build up badly enough to trash a motor. A buddy had to take his CVO Road Sofa in for a fresh engine @ 38K due to carbon build up which bent lots of components that one would not think possible. He was given a fresh engine on the MoCo, from the crank out to the plugs. All due to carbon build up.

Wonder what routine is better. MMO or Sea Foam. Sea Foam routine is to spray the stuff into the intake of a HOT running motor. They say that stuff hits the carbon on the pistons and it just vaporizes.

That could simply be from temperature difference, which is what makes the H2O work so well for it steam cleans. If it something chemically causing the release, (which is unlikely given contact time) adding it to the fuel tank may work as well, for it will get everywhere in the combustion chamber the fuel will.

Both MMO and Aerokroil are top notch. The trick with Aerokroil is to go in with a few buddies and order it by the case and not pay the markup the retailers want. www.kanolabs.com is the website I believe. MMO made a lot of older motors go way beyond what they would have with out it. Great stuff. When you get use to Kroil you won't even look at Wd-40, Deep Creep or any of the others.

I ran an entire can of seafoam through the throttle body and that stuff didnt even touch the carbon. Keep in mind, this isnt just peeking through the plug hole with a flashlight, but using a very expensive borescope. Seafoam is garbage. Not impressed. The MMO did more for removing the carbon than anything, with Kroil a close second. I though seafoam was a good product before this. I wont be buying it anymore.
