Default New 2007 Ultra - One Month Report

Brought it home one month ago today. What can I say? I love this bike. 1400 miles in one month. It eats up the miles. I haven't noticed any heat problems or noise from the transmission as others have. I look for excuses to ride it. I am going cross county this summer and I can hardly wait.I havea lot in mind to customize it and give it astripped down"Street Glide look" but I have been so busy riding itI haven't had the time to do anything yet.I still ridethe Road King everyday but I have a feeling this is going to be the ride of choice for all the longer trips. Itis always great when something exceeds your expectations. The Ultra definitely has.

Ditto. Good post, better than the one about the complaints owners have.

I have a few complaints about my 07 Ultra. It has about 5000 miles on it, and the rear tire appearrs to be about 1//2 way worn. Also, on cold mornings it has frost on the seat and windshield. Should I complain to the MOCO? Otherwise it has been a joy to own....

Both of those bikes look great. But that Road King is absolutely STUNNING, particularly the front end treatment. But I would imagine that larger fairing is fantastic on a long trip!

Fast Eddie, what do you think about the seating position of the RK vs the UC. I'm thinking of getting a UC (and keeping the RK too) and I plan to take one for a test drive or rent one for a weekend this summer to see how I like it. When I have sat on theUC's at the dealer it seems like the handlebars are much closer...maybe it is just due to the fairing that it makes it seem closer. When I first bought my RK my arms were completely straight, stretched out with the stock handlebars - of course with the RKII wild ones that is not the case anymore. What is your feeling as far as UC comfort compared to the RK?
