I have an 07 Road King Classic. I have an intermitten problem that happens about every once a month or longer, where the bike seems to be running fine. When I am coming to a stop the bike seems like its not getting gas during idol and stops running, I can keep the bike running if I throttle above idol. I turn the ignition off then restart with no problem and runs just fine until the next time in a month or longer. My best guess it's the electronic fuel injection run by the computer. Does anyone have a problem like this or similar? Any suggestions?
sorry, haven't heard of that one. not a clue other than you might reset when you turn off and turn back on but what could be the root cause is beyond my tech skills. i'm sure someone will offer a suggestion....hang in there.
Since the problem is intermittent and only happens at idle, I would suspect it may only happen when you are low on fuel. Sounds like a fuel pump issue to me. Next time it happens, check to see where your fuel level is at the time.
All I can say is I am having the same problem with my 07 Road King. It started about a month ago and has happened about 3 times now. I have 45,000 miles on her and a PCIII ECM. I'll be checking the thread mentioned above. I'm looking for answers too, sorry I don't have a solution.

Man, I just wroted this thread today and sure enough it happens. I notice that when I was near my home area on the highway I ran into some slow traffic where I was frictioning the clutch and bike felt and sounded like it wanted to turn off but kept the throttle up, when I reached my exit on the off ramp I stopped at the light and thats where the bike boggled off. I turned off the ignition and turn it back on but this time the bike didn't start at all, all lights were on but engine did not turn over. After about 2 mins it started right up. That never happened before.
Answer to a reply here was yes I had 3/4 tank.
Find the thread on cleaning the IAC, I had the same issue, cleaned it and no problem since. It carbons up with the engine blow by over time. Needs periodic cleaning.
Ok..I looked at the other thread regarding idle issues "bigdumbanoitall00" suggested to look into. Its extactly what happening. The information has a few suggestions but pretty narrowed down.
