Had not noticed the way the paint looks. Does look like orange peel. No ripples, dimples, or dips. Fender as smooth as a baby's butt. 2013 Big Blue Pearl paint. Must be the metal flake making it look that way.

It's not the paint, it's the process that causes orange peel. Mine has orange peel and it's not metal flake paint. I think that's why Harley makes such a big deal about hand finishing their tanks. You never see it on a tank, you see it on a lot of fenders though.
