Default Outstanding!

The 12 RGC CVO's turn came up for it's annual 2K miles of riding. I had 6K from last season. I took it out and put a 1/3 bottle of Chevron's Techron additive and filled the tank up. Put the tires up to correct pressure.

Monday I did 264 miles and added 41 miles today when the low fuel light came on I was just at a exit ramp in Davenport, Ia. where a Loves truck stop was. I filled up to the neck and it was 5 gallons even.

So 305 miles /5 gallons = 61 mpg! Since the 1K service it had been at a very consistent 50 mpg. The Interstate riding was at 65 on cruise and the State riding was at 55 on cruise. My route was mostly north and south the east west road were fairly short. Also not many hills. I do use 89 E10 gas which in Iowa was down to $3.179. That is why I was headed to Iowa to fill up.

Bike is stock except for a Corbra FI2000R-CL programmer to correct the lean burn afr. Nothing else.

It was a warm sunny day. No one pulled out in front of me, no one turned left in front of me and no one tail gated. I rode to the dealer and had a free cup of coffee and donuts.

What a ride!

Stop! You had me at free coffee and donuts...... Days like that are few and far between for me, hardly spend a few dollars and have what seems to be the time of your life!

I seem to get my best gas mileage in Illinois, no matter what kind of wheels I'm on. Of course, that's the flattest state I've been in since a ride through Kansas decades ago - don't want to do that again. Don't really want to go through Illinois either, but it's in the way sometimes...

The only way I could get gas mileage that high from my Harley would be for me to push it down a mine shaft.

Good Lord. I just posted in another thread how I am getting 40 mpg... AND WE HAVE THE SAME BIKE !

I did cams and pipes, and a dyno. And I ride at 80 mph with the cruise set.
I have never got near your 60 MPG, and I was happy with the 40 !

Until now ! Sheesh !

Maybe I'll drop down to 65 and see what happens.
But, everything happens so slow down there.

Lastly, I would like to check your math. (that may be the first time I have ever said that)
