5 days ago I traded in my 2012 Super Glide Custom. That bike was great, but I needed something larger so the wife would ride with me. This new bike is starting to grow on me, but still miss my Super Glide.
I have been riding the new Street Glide everyday now and have noticed a few minor things that I like to share.
2014 SG hand controls don't illuminate at night. Come on Harley, this is a touring bike and we might ride the bike at night. My Super Glide illuminated!
The SG rear standard shocks seem to bottom out much easier than the Super Glide's. I cant figure why... ?
The engine of this SG seems to need shifting into the next higher gear much much earlier than the Super Glide. To be fair, the Super Glide had the stage one downloaded. I wonder if this download will help?
Some slight vibration sound is coming from the fairing. It is not too loud, but it does distract me when I get up to about 55mph. I can't determine exactly where from.
Although I keep turning off the radio, the radio turns on each time I restart the bike.
Can't turn the display illumination of the Boom 4.3 standard radio COMPLETELY off. Stays illuminated all the time even when radio is off. I ride at nights 50 percent of the time and find the display to be a distraction.
I had the same problem... I got a larger bike then my wife wanted to ride with me. I solved it by putting on a solo seat and taking off the passenger floor boards - problem solved.
