Best cup holder out there is the Hog trough. If you have lowers it replaces the cheesy glovebox doors with a locking door. I had one on my 10 ultra. Haven't been able to test them and see if they work on the lowers on my 14' limited. They do however also make a set up that attaches to the frame tube if you don't have lowers.
I have to put a plug in for Captain Itch. I bought his windshield mount cup holder. Works great. Drink is out of the way but also easy to reach. I have it mounted on my 02 Heritage.
I have the HD one and don't really care for it. Had two water bottles blow off out of it and lost a good $20 insulated coffee mug the same way. As long as they are full, no problem, but if it doesn't have any weight-watch out.
Best I ever had was the Barefoot Willie's. Tried the Kruzer Caddy, and while it looked nice, was cheaply made and didn't last. Would love to try the one that mounts to the lowers with the locking glove box, but a bit pricey for me to go with that setup.
Don't buy the kooser kaddy - it moves and swivels, just doesn't seem to be made very well. For $40-$50 bucks it could be designed a lot better. Just my 2 cents
there is a trick to that which IMO HD should have included but I guess that's a damn upgrade too!
use a very thin washer behind the bolt head inside the cupholder. I guarantee you it won't move.

THIS. I got the locking doors on my lowers with a cup holder on the right side and keyed to my bike. F T W.
